How did the main character feel during the book? Give evidences of this. Elani was scared. She was afraid that she wouldn't ever get to go back home. She was hungry and dirty. She was so very tired.

Jack Templar, Monster Hunter - Jeff Gunhus Which secondary character resonated most with you and why? I am having problems choosing between Aunt Sophie and Eva. The each gave strength to the story and Jack's relationships with them played an important part in the story.

How did you like the central theme in this story. I loved it. It was so much adventure and so much fun.

What did you think of the ending? The ending was somewhat expected and definitely sets things in motion for the second book.

Pain and Gain - The Untold True Story - Marc  Schiller Did the book description relate to the story? The description was right on. Although, my book club members and I were a bit confused with the movie version and the book. Both told contrasting stories.

What were the main relationships explored in this book? Marc - His wife, which he called China and his young son / Marc -Jorge / Marc - Kidnappers / Marc - Ed / Marc - His sister

Favourite scene …. When Marc woke up in the hospital.

Sleeper's Run - Henry Mosquera Formatting / Appearance – There were no issues at all. The author's writing was also easy to read and I enjoyed uncovering the truth in this book.

Favourite scene …. When Eric met with Dr. Libschitz. Because Eric was finally getting some answers. There were bits of this book that seemed a lot like The Manchurian Candidate. A little farfetched and yet very possible.

Which secondary character resonated most with you and why? Eric's dad and grandfather.

Kaleidoscope World - Tomica Scavina Which secondary character resonated most with you and why? Felipe and his jealous girlfriend. They are so in love and yet so passionately disconnected from each other.

Where did the story take place? Story takes place in Barcelona, in Dahlia's father's old apartment. Yes, it may not seem like much of a setting but you're in for a surprise.

Was it a good book? It was a fascinating book that studies the human heart and mind. My book club members and I enjoyed it very much.

Who do you think the author intended to read this book and why? I guess, women would like it. Because of the sibling problems with each other.

If you could only save one character, which one would it be and why? De Dee, she just getting started with her life. Hasn't really had a chance to live.

A Tale of the Other Kind - Leandi Cameron Cover – The cover was good. It looked mysterious and I liked the color choices

What makes a minor character memorable? If they add meaning to the story. In this case, it was Astrid. I wouldn't really say her character was 'minor' but her strong secondary character made the main characters more connected and added entertainment value to the story.

List the characters and describe them. Kai - 17 years old. Senior in high school. He is a shape shifter that turns into a leopard. He's deeply in love with Sienna.

Sienna - 17 year old and a senior in high school. She is dating James, but she loves Kai.

Daniel - Kai's best friend in school. He played in a band.

Astrid - 450 year old vampire. She helped Kai to understand, what was happening to him.

Quinn - Was a evil man. He put a curse on all shape shifters. If they fell in love with a human, he killed them and their loved ones.

It was nice, all kids got back home safe.

Plot is well-developed in most areas. Although seemed out of this world, this author has unique writing style.

Shades of Gray - Andy Holloman Did the plot pull you in or did you feel you had to force yourself to read the book? It absolutely pulled me in right away. This is definitely one my favourite books now.

What are some of the book's themes? The story was about a single dad and the love he and his brother showered on Lucy. Police corruption and drugs.

Did the book end the way you expected? Absolutely wasn't expecting the ending.

Cover – Really liked the cover. Just John and Lucy walking through life together. There wasn't any issues at all.

If you were in a problem situation like one in the book, how would you have acted? I would use any means possible to get away from the brothers. I would fight to the end.

Find one word that describes a character in your book very well. Worried - Hank was trying to protect his son. He got a doctor for Alison. He talked with police. He took Jimmy to his mother's. He went back to check on Alison.

Compare two of the characters in this book. Ben - born killer, on death row. Warden Tummelson - Been at the prison for 11 years. Scrubs his self raw, trying to get clean.

Daimones (Daimones Trilogy, #1) - Massimo Marino What were the main themes of the book? The main themes of the book were, all types of animals dropping dead. Then it escalated into billions of people dying

Describe 2 different settings or locations. When Dan went next door to Joe and Beth's house to find them dead in their bed. The interstate was lined with multiple car crashes in every direction.

Were you able to connect with the main character and why? I was able to connect with Dan. He went into survival mode immediately, just as I would.

Which did you find more appealing, the introduction or the conclusion? The conclusion.

January Exposure - Sunny Benson Did the book end the way you expected? No, the book kept me in the dark, until the very end. I liked this aspect very much.

Why would you recommend or not recommend this book? I would highly recommend this book. It was a fantastic read.

Untimed - Andy Gavin What would the main character be likely to do if s/he visited? Talk of living on the streets. And being hungry and dirty.

If you were in a problem situation like the one in the book, how would you have acted? I guess, if I had no other choice, I would have lived on the streets too. But, I hopefully wouldn't have to steal to survive.

What lesson did you learn from the story? There are a lot of terrible people in the world.

What is the main character like? Charlie is strong, resourceful, loving, protective and a good friend. We share these qualities.

Did the plot pull you in or did you feel you had to force yourself to read the book? Considering I am reaching middle age, this book pulled me in. No forced reading here.

Trapped - George A. Bernstein What motivates a given character’s actions? Do you think those actions are justified or ethical?

Jackee was motivated by trying to stay alive to complete a mission. Kevin was motivated to keep Jackee safe. Phil was motivated by money.

Jackee and Kevin’s actions were justified. Phil, on the other hand was just greedy.

Which characters do you particularly admire or dislike?

I admire Kevin for trying to protect Jackee. I have a strong dislike for Phil and Rhonda. My opinion changes on Rhonda while reading.

Tell in your own words the beginning of the book.

Jackee running late trying to get her boys to school and make it to work for an important meeting. During rush hour traffic Jackee is cut off and the car goes flying out of control.

When Jackee learns she can communicate mentally and feel thru others.

Marching With Caesar: Civil War - R.W. Peake Why would you recommend or not recommend this book? Recommend this book? I would like to meet someone who does not think this is a great read and for them to explain to me why.

Did the book description relate to the story? The description allowed me to imagine everything I thought would be in the book. It was so nice to know that everything and more than I imagined was actually in the book.

What were the main relationships explored in this book? Recollection of events according to Titus, mainly during Civil war, the friendships formed, the loss of live.

3 things I liked about the book … The creative writing that pulls readers in. Knowing that the author cared enough to NOT allow any errors in the book. The historical value even if it is fiction.
